About this event
This seminar will provide an exploration of the relationship between playing and mind/body development.
It will pay particular attention to the ways in which playing may shape the brain, and ways in which the
brain may shape playing.
But of course, this is no direct cause-effect relationship and there are many mediating influences ranging
from molecular to global scales of operation.
The intention is to challenge, arouse curiosity and extend the ways in which we currently extol the value of
playing (and ‘playwork’). But beware, there are no easy answers and the session is likely to induce severe
headache. As Lyall Watson says 'If the brain were so simple we could understand it, we would be so simple
we couldn’t!’
How to book: Email your details and the number of places required to playworklondon@aol.com
