two people talking

There are a number of ways you can get involved with the work of the CEN.

To find out more, please contact:

Andrea Enisuoh at andrea@hcvs.org.uk or call 020 7923 1962.

Are you from the voluntary and community sector?  Are you a Hackney Councillor?  Are you from the public sector?
  1. Join a network!
Let us know if you have an area of interest that relates to one of the community networks or an area of our work and we will include you in our mailings and meetings and help you join a network.
  2. Become a CEN rep!
We regularly recruit people from the VCS to be community reps and attend Team Hackney meetings in their area of expertise.
  3. Come and speak to us and we can exchange information about how Team Hackney works, what its priorities are and how to engage with Officers about your work.
  4. Come to a CEN event! Find out about the latest meetings – click here for our events calendar.
  1. Become a network champion!
We are looking for councillors to champion the valuable work of Hackney’s community networks.
  2. Come and speak to us - we can exchange information about the VCS groups working in your Ward, or with your community, and how we can help support their work – perhaps with funding advice, or training, or speaking to them about how to develop their organisation.
  3. Let us know if you have an area of interest that relates to one of the VCS networks, or an area of work of the CEN and we will include you in our mailings and meetings.
  4. Help us take forward some of the concerns which VCS groups raise on behalf of the local community to the Council forums you attend.
  1. Become a network champion!
We are looking for colleagues from the public sector to champion the valuable work of Hackney’s community networks.
  2. Do you want to work with or get the views from Hackney’s community groups? By linking in with our community networks who work in areas such as health, youth crime or employment – you can connect to a wider range of VCS groups working in that shared area, rather than contacting groups individually.
