Flexible Support Fund
Network members with ideas for projects that address worklessness and engage JCP customers may be interested in applying for the Flexible Support Fund.
What is the Flexible Support Fund?
This is a Jobcentre Plus funding stream for developing and running projects for JCP pre-work programme customers.
What kind of projects are they interested in funding?
The fund is for non-profit organisations to run projects that tackle worklessness – including complex barriers to employment and child poverty (these are JCP objectives). The project must engage JCP customers regardless of which benefits they are receiving and deliver outcomes that would not be possible by other means. JCP welcome applications that compliment existing JCP services and which address wider Get Britain Working measures (more info on Get Britain Working measures available here: http://www.dwp.gov.uk/policy/welfare-reform/get-britain-working/).
JCP are looking for projects which ‘achieve the maximum business benefits and where payments are linked to agreed work-related outcomes.’ The outputs of your project will need to demonstrate people moving into work. Please see the pdf ‘Flexible Support Fund Info For Partners’ which goes into detail about their intended aims and outcomes and the application process.
How much funding is available?
There is no specified amount, the cost of your project will depend on its specifics; the amount of funding you apply for depends on what your offer is.
When is the deadline?
There is no deadline! Applications are assessed at an assessment panel in the second week of every month.
Is there an application form?
The first step is to complete the Informal Gathering Information form and email it to Cecily Wint, the JCP Hackney Borough Partnership Manager: Cecily.wint@jobcentreplus.gsi.gov.uk
This form must be completed by the Lead Accountable Body. If you are successful you will be asked to complete the Formal Application process. The Lead Accountable Body will be informed if you aren’t successful within five days after each assessment panel meeting. Successful applications will be expected to start their projects promptly after confirmation of the funding being awarded.
Who can I contact?
Please contact Cecily Wint with any queries on 0208 218 8291 or 0791 9597 561 or email: Cecily.wint@jobcentreplus.gsi.gov.uk
