Mayor of Hackney supports REACH 2011
Unfortunately Jules Pipe, Mayor of Hackney was unable to attend he sent his support ahead of the event.

Jules Pipe, Mayor of Hackney:
“I am sorry I cannot join you for REACH 2011 and hope that all delegates will enjoy a productive and interesting day. CEN occupy a vital role in Hackney by providing the Council and the wider Partnership with invaluable access to and intelligence from the wider voluntary and community sector (VCS). We need this strong relationship to inform our approach and priorities based on evidence – our joint work earlier this year looking at the impact of Government cuts is an excellent example of the benefit of this collaborative approach. With Government cuts seemingly coming from all angles over the past 12 months it is now more important than ever that the VCS has a strong, co-operative voice and that information on opportunities, as well as threats, is shared. The work of networks such as CEN is crucial to ensuring the sector, and its statutory partners, are equipped to face the challenges ahead and we look forward to working together closely over the coming years.”
It’s great to have this support from the mayor and we hope to see him at the event next year!
